Welcome to Enlightenment
A New Light of Perfection is Dawning

On January 12th, Maharishi expressed great fulfillment in inaugurating 2001 as the Year of the Global Country of World Peace. Maharishi said, "It’s a very good time for the world. A new light of perfection is dawning, and we are laying out a perfect system of administration."

Maharishi told the world, via global satellite broadcast, that he had been waiting for the day when he could introduce a country and a system of administration from the supreme level of evolution of life—Unity Consciousness. Now, that time has come as millions of people practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique have enlivened Unity in world consciousness and changed the quality of time on earth.

A Time of Transformation
This transformation of world consciousness has unfolded in a remarkable way during the past six months, as Maharishi has been enjoying the Cosmic Golden Jubilee Celebration of Guru Dev— Swarn Jayanti—leading to a series of highly significant events for our worldwide movement.

On October 7, 2000—Victory Day in the Vedic calendar—Maharishi inaugurated the Global Country of World Peace to unite the whole family of nations as one global alliance of sovereign nations.

On October 12, 2000—Maharishi crowned the greatest scientist of our age, His Majesty King Nader Raam, as the First Sovereign Ruler of the Global Country of World Peace. The authentic Vedic coronation ceremony continued for five days in Vlodrop, Holland, and was broadcast live to the world.

On October 17, 2000—His Majesty King Nader Raam established the structure of his administration, with 40 Ministries, each one upheld by one of the 40 aspects of Veda and the Vedic Literature.

On January 12th, 2001—Maharishi joyfully proclaimed his satisfaction that the target of the worldwide movement had been brought to vision: "Peace perpetual on this beautiful planet."

On January 14, 2001—King Nader Raam installed the Chief Ministers of his Cabinet—those expert scientists, artists and administrators who, as Maharishi said, have insight into their own self-referral identity as Atma —their own cosmic Self.

On January 24, 2001—His Majesty King Nader Raam and his Cabinet Ministers, having traveled to India for the Maha Kumbha Mela, took a dip at the most auspicious moment in the confluence of the holy rivers Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati. King Nader Raam and his Cabinet then received the blessings of the present Shankaracharya of Jyotir Math, who now occupies the same seat of Vedic Knowledge previously held by Maharishi’s Master, Guru Dev.

The Self-Referral Performance of Nature
From the moment 50 years ago, when Guru Dev gave Maharishi the inspiration to spiritually regenerate all mankind, every step taken by Maharishi has been a spontaneous response to the need of the time.

Prompted by a quiet inner call more than four decades ago, Maharishi left the Himalayas to visit Rameshvaram at the southern-most tip of India. Before Maharishi could return north, one man had set up a series of lectures, and sincere seekers of knowledge were asking Maharishi to give them the experience of the Transcendent.

For the next two years Maharishi traveled throughout India, teaching the Transcendental Mediation technique, and then on January 1, 1958, in response to the great enthusiasm for his teaching, Maharishi inaugurated a movement to spiritually regenerate the whole world.

Through all the years since that day, the impulse for each new step of Maharishi’s movement has continued to be the impulse of Nature, always responding to the need of the time.

In a talk broadcast February 3, 2001 on the Maharishi Open University Channel, Maharishi said that the Global Country of World Peace was created overnight. "Suddenly a new world woke up," Maharishi said, "and suddenly the King of that new world was installed, and suddenly he is now functioning as a King with all his Ministers, and he has taken his Ministers to India to take a dip in the Ganges. It all happened spontaneously.

"All that is happening is Nature’s Self-referral performance, and we are flowing in that wave which comes."

With this inauguration of Maharishi’s Year of the Global Country of World Peace, the time has now come when peace on earth will be powerful, and power on earth will only be peaceful, and with Maharishi’s blessings, Heaven on Earth will be a living reality for every individual in our world family.
