Maharishi Vedic Centers are Ready to Go Maharishi Vedic Centers in North America are on their way. The Center in Bethesda, Maryland is already celebrating its first anniversary. In Lexington, Kentucky, the foundation is in and walls are going up Suitable land is owned in five other states. Twenty-five teams are moving ahead quickly, and more than 100 people are reviewing the new plans. Investors are standing by to put up the money and oversee construction of a Maharishi Vedic CenterSM in your home-town. The investors will lease the Center to local organizers at very competitive rates. The costs of construction, approximately $300,000 for the building and $100,000 or more for the lot and site development, are paid entirely by the investors. Typically the lease—including the mortgage payment, property taxes, insurance, and maintenance— will run about $4,500 per month. A portion of the building can be subleased to pay half or even the entire lease payment. There are three steps to prepare for the investors’ purchase:
Flexibility Supports Self-Sufficiency The two-story building lends itself to partial rental in many possible con-figurations. Areas of the building not required for TM program activities can be leased as office or retail space at higher rates to subsidize the teaching rooms and Director’s apartment. In the future, when increased activity requires the construction of a larger Maharishi Vedic Center, this entire building could be leased as office space.
