Look Both Ways...A Lesson for Success

"Look both ways before you cross the street!" Our parents made sure we learned this lesson early in life, and it’s one of the first things we teach our own children. We do it automatically now, stepping up to the curb, turning our heads left and right, judging how to avoid the oncoming traffic in order to have a safe crossing.

They probably didn’t realize it but, in teaching us this simple safety rule, our parents were actually imparting one of the most fundamental principles for success. It’s such universal wisdom that we use it everyday—even when we’re not crossing streets.

One time it’s especially important to look both ways is when we begin a partnership with another person—an employer examines a prospective employee’s resume; an entrepreneur evaluates a potential business partner; a couple contemplating marriage embarks on a period of courtship.

These are all commonsense practices in the outer field of life, but to make the best judgment possible, we also need to look in the other direction—to the inner field of life—using the Maharishi Vedic Astrology program.
