construct at least one Maharishi Sthapatya Veda design house in every
major metropolitan area of North America. The Veda House program offers
floor plans and construction drawings.
Completed houses will be opened to the media and general public. These
nationally publicized "open house" tours will be held in the
fall of 2001 and spring of 2002.
Over 200 houses in more than 35 cities have already been scheduled for
construction. There is still time for you to participate in the Veda House
program. Visit their web site to find out more.
North America: New Book on Tape
New Book on Tape The book Maharishi’s Absolute Theory of Government:
Automation in Administration has recently been released on a set of 4
audio tapes. Dr. Mike Tompkins reads the English text, and Dr. Pranab
Sharma reads the Sanskrit and Hindi.
"Government is worthy of the name only if it has the ability to
prevent problems. This new definition of government, provided by my
Absolute Theory of Government, can be actualized by any government through
the programs that have substantiated the theory. Any government that does
not have the ability to prevent problems is itself a problem for the
nation and a football of situations and circumstances. Now the centuries-sold
struggling history of governments is destined to have a new sunshine of
problem-free administration. Every government in the world will enjoy the
supreme status of a truly sovereign government." —Maharishi

United States: Magazine Features Ideal Girls
"While other girls beg for later curfews, live on fast food, and
experiment with destructive habits, students at Heavenly Mountain Ideal
Girls’ School go to bed by 9 p.m. and eat all-natural foods. And
according to the girls themselves, they are living the ultimate teenage
life."
So writes author Jenny Rothenberg, a graduate of the Maharishi School
of the Age of Enlightenment and the Professional Writing program at
Maharishi University of Management. You can read her thought-provoking
article about student life at Heavenly Mountain Ideal Girls’ School in
the August 2000 issue of Holistic Health magazine.
Canada: Good Health Costs Less
A retrospective study of Quebec health insurance enrollees showed that
over a six-year period, a group of TM practitioners reduced government
payments to physicians up to 13 percent per year compared to controls.
This could translate into savings of as much as $300 million per year for
the province.
"This is a significant finding, one that could help reduce the
soaring health care costs of Canada’s provincial governments," says
Robert Herron, Ph.D., lead author of the study and Director of the Health
Management Research Center at Maharishi University of Management in
Fairfield, Iowa.
