Vedic Life Returning to India

In 1944, Shri Guru Dev organized a large Shat Mukha Koti Yagya on the bank of river Yamuna in Delhi, and from there these great achievements began.

1950 • Shri Guru Dev gave an inspiration to establish the worldwide Vedic Vishwa Prashasan—Global Administration through Natural Law.

1953 • Shri Guru Dev gave his blessings to Maharishi to bring the Total Knowledge of Vedic Science to all mankind for all generations to come.

1957 • Maharishi received the inspiration in Kanyakumari and inaugurated his worldwide movement in Madras. 1958 • Spiritual Regeneration Movement established.

1960–63 • International Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Courses held in Kashmir and Rishikesh.

1963 • First International Academy established in Rishikesh on the bank of river Ganga in the foothills of the Himalayas.

1972 • Maharishi’s Institute of Creative Intelligence incorporated; hundreds of centers opened in India.

1976 • First TM-Sidhi course.

1980 • International Vedic Science Conference in Delhi.

1981 • Maharishi Veda Vigyan Vishwa Vidya Peetham established to restore and preserve the purity and effective-ness of the Vedic knowledge.

1986 • Maharishi Ayurveda Products set up. • International World Peace Assembly held during the Guru Purnima celebration.

1987 • World Center of Maharishi Gandharva Veda established to create world peace.

1988 • Maharishi’s Master Plan to Create Heaven on Earth to reconstruct the whole world, both inner and outer.

1991 • Over 200 Maharishi Vidya Mandir schools established in 11 states with more than 100,000 students.

1993 • Maharishi Institute of Management established in Delhi to introduce Maharishi’s Master Management.

1995 • Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Vedic Vishwa Vidyalya established by an act of the Assembly of Madhya Pradesh. • Maharishi Institute of Management expands to offer MBA programs in collaboration with Maharishi University of Management USA.

1996 • Maharishi Corporate Development Program SM introduced in many of India’s largest businesses. 1998 • Maharishi Veda Vision, the Maharishi Channel, brings the eternal Vedic wisdom to millions in India and around the world. • Foundation stone laid for the world’s tallest building.

1999 • Maharishi Ideal Girls’ Schools established in 25 cities. • Maharishi Institute of Information Technology established to offer courses in e-commerce and Internet technologies. • Eastern Alliance for Perpetual World Peace formed.

2000 • Construction of a beautiful campus for Maharishi Vedic Vishwa Prashasaks begins near Poona.
