Bermuda: Yogic Flyers Create National Coherence
In March, 46 Yogic Flyers from Bermuda, Canada and the United States
gathered to create coherence and reduce the crime rate in Bermuda. Data
compiled by the Bermuda Police show that compared to the average for the
four weeks prior to the course, violent crimes were down 22 percent, 33
percent and 56 percent for week one, week two, and the week after the
course.
Canada: Mr. Darling, Canadian Champion for Quality of Life
Mr. Stan Darling, a retired Member of Parliament in Canada wholearned
the TM technique in 1990, received the Distinguished Service Award on May
16. During the ceremony, Mr. Darling was recognized for his many
achievements during 21 years of service, including his leadership role in
the signing of the 1992 Acid Rain Accord between the United States and
Canada.
"This is a well deserved award," said Dr. Neil Paterson.

Croatia: Peace Project Reaches Milestone
To mark the first anniversary of the Dubrovnik Peace Project, organizer
Milan Popov writes: "We would like to express our deepest gratitude
for helping us establish and maintain our coherence- creating group. Your
generosity was very special—it favored neither Serbs nor Albanians,
Yugoslav forces nor Western allies—but it touched the deepest core of
life in all of them, consciousness. It enlivened the field of pure
goodness in all of them—and in all of us who find ourselves in the
Balkans during this tragic moment of history.
"As you know, the armies are still here. But so are we. Our
coherence-creating groups—one in Belgrade and one in Dubrovnik—stopped
the war. Further calamities, both in Yugoslavia and Europe, have been
prevented. Thousands of lives have been saved. For this gift of life all
future generations will feel indebted to all those who have supported the
Dubrovnik Peace Project."
The ongoing courses begin each Saturday. Apply through your local
Center; or in the United States, send a fax to 603-588-6773; or in Canada,

United States: Food for the Soul
Heaven’s Banquet, a vegetarian cookbook, written by Governor of
the Age of Enlightenment Miriam Hospodar, is receiving widespread praise.
"It’s virtually impossible to open this book and not hit upon a
glorious food idea. Heaven’s Banquet is large, beautifully
printed, and one of the best cookbooks I’ve encountered in a very long
time."—New Age Retailer
"It’s immediately clear as soon as you open the pages that the
recipes have been compiled with great care and consideration over a
lifetime. Such experience gives Heaven’s Banquet a resounding
depth that is so often missing in cookbooks. Although Ayurvedic principles
form the background of the book, the recipes are both familiar and exotic,
and the exotic ones are enticing and accessible."—Deborah Madison,
respected cookbook author.
Miriam and her recipes are also being featured in Natural Living
Today (March 2000), Vegetarian Times (May 2000), Delicious! (June
2000), Veggie Life (August 2000), and Yoga Journal (October
