Asian Television Network Broadcasts Maharishi Channel

The Asian Television Network (ATN), the largest multi-lingual cable and satellite network broadcasting outside of India, now offers one hour per day of Maharishi Veda Vision. Any household in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean can hear Maharishi speak on Vedic wisdom with selections in both Hindi and English. The channel also features talks by Professor Tony Nader, M.D., Ph.D., and other prominent speakers.

Bermuda Creating Coherence Project

All Governors and Citizen Sidhas of the Age of Enlightenment are warmly invited to come to Bermuda for a Creating Coherence Project, March 5-19 or March 12-19, 2000. A 1984 course in Bermuda created a 50 percent drop in common crimes compared to the previous four weeks. Local leaders have expressed support for a repeat demonstration. Participants should apply through their TM Program Center or National Office immediately.

Ideal Girls Tour the Nation

In November, eight seniors from the Heavenly Mountain Ideal Girls’ School in North Carolina toured eight U.S. cities to make presentations on Consciousness-Based education.

In Washington, DC, the girls visited the Thurgood Marshall Middle School where the TM program has been incorporated into the curriculum. "The neighboring schools were tense, but the students and teachers of Thurgood Marshall were so happy," recalls Laura Stevens. "You could really see the difference the TM program can make in school life."

In Detroit, a funded project has been established at a counseling center as a direct result of the lectures given by the girls. Says Torrey Witherspoon, "Every place we went, it was as if we were waking people up to something that had always been in their minds: ‘This is what I’ve been looking for! This is the way life is supposed to be!’"

More than 200 course participants and Maharishi Vedic Science experts gathered to welcome the new millennium at the Maharishi Vedic School in Avon Park during the winter holidays. This was the largest World Peace Assembly and Meditator Residence Course ever held in Florida.
