A
Gift Give Gratefully

One day while I was visiting a
dear friend, Dawn Taylor, she had a recurrence of a serious chronic
headache. Suddenly, before my eyes, she became a different person. Dawn
had been in an automobile collision several years before I met her. She
was only going five miles an hour, but her car was totaled by a truck. She
was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries, including a head injury
that moved her skull plate. For years she suffered recurrent bouts of
severe head pain, unsteadiness, and disorientation.
This attractive lady had been a
National Merit Scholar in high school and a Phi Beta Kappa in college.
Before the accident she orchestrated counseling services in a ten-county
area. She has a warm personality and a wonderful love of art, music and
culture.
But now, as I sat and watched, I saw
she couldn’t tell left from right. Her speech was slow and hesitant. She
couldn’t remember the simplest thing. She had difficulty maintaining her
balance and fell down several times. Her face changed and sagged, her
eyes became dull and listless, dark circles drooped under the eyes. I was
trying to be calm, but I was terribly shocked. It was a horror movie in
real time! I felt helpless.
Dawn hesitantly told me she had been
to all the doctors, hospitals, and specialists. They could do nothing to
correct the head injury and had only gloomy predictions. She’d just have
to live with the pain and the fact that she could die at any time.
I was frightened for her. What could
I do?
In sheer desperation to help, I took
her to the Maharishi Ayur-Veda Medical Center near our town and arranged
for her to go through a program I had heard about, "Maharishi Vedic
Vibration Technology."
The procedure was simple. She filled
out a form, picked her problem from a list, and waited for the Maharishi
Vedic Vibration Technology expert to see her. No health history, no
weighing, no questionnaire, no interview. At this point, Dawn could
hardly write her name. She had on dark glasses because the smallest light
was painful to her eyes.
After just five minutes of waiting
she was taken into the consultation room. I went outside and drove over to
the center’s dining room to eat lunch and worry. About an hour and a
half later, I was talking to an acquaintance I had met there, when I had a
strong feeling to go pick up Dawn.
I drove over, went up to the door,
and there she was, beaming and buoyant. I couldn’t believe it! Her eyes
were clear and bright. The dark circles under them were gone. She was
standing erect, moving perfectly normally, if anything with a lot more
verve and vibrancy than before! She was laughing at my solicitude. "I’m
starving," she said, smiling, grabbing my arm. "Let’s go get
something to eat."
As I helped her into the car—a
courtesy, not a necessity—I kept looking at her carefully. I had known
her for nine months. We were very close. But I had never seen her so happy
and full of life and fun. All that afternoon driving her around and
finally home, I observed her closely. Something remarkable had happened.
She was not only well—she was radiantly beautiful and full of life.
The results from her first session
had been so dramatic we couldn’t imagine why the Vedic Vibration program
included three sessions. But after ten days she had another whopper of a
headache. I was discouraged. Maybe this program was only "for
temporary relief of headache pain," like aspirin. Maybe there was no
help for her problems after all. We went back for the second session with
mixed feelings.
But this time, the results were even
better than the first time. Dawn was stronger and quieter at a more subtle
level. Instead of being bouncy and happy, she was glowing and steady.
After another two weeks, Dawn went
back for the third session. Again the relief was broader and more stable
than the first and second times. I thought, "Even if it only lasts a
few weeks, it’s worth doing again." I quietly inquired about
signing her up for another set of three sessions. The receptionist smiled
wisely and said, "Just wait and see."
We have waited. And we have seen that
more than just headaches have been relieved. Dawn’s attitude has changed
from resigned stoicism about her "inevitable" fate to
cheerfulness. She has new plans for the future, positive ideas, and the
inner strength, confidence and happiness to make them happen.
All I can say is, the Vedic Vibration
program was the best gift I’ve ever given. To me, the cost was only as
much as a modest brake job, but the relief Dawn experienced was priceless.
It works. I was there. I saw it. And I paid for it happily and most
gratefully. Maharishi Vedic Vibration Technology is definitely worth a
try!
