For the first time in North America,
health professionals are studying the principles and practice of Maharishi
Vedic Medicine. Maharishi Vedic Medicine has restored the ancient science
of Vedic medicine to its completeness and purity, in accord with the
classical Vedic texts.
The course for health professionals
was developed by a distinguished faculty of Vedic scholars, including
experts in all the traditional branches of Vedic Medicine, with the
collaboration of medical specialists in the major disciplines of modern
medicine.
Graduates of a two-week course
offered in Holland have recently returned to the United States, and are
now teaching the program in a 3-day weekend for-mat in six cities:
Albuquerque, Atlanta, Bethesda, Boston, Fairfield, and Palo Alto.
"The course in Holland was
fabulous," recalls Steele Belok, M.D. "It provided a lot of
useful information for physicians—practical and theoretical
understanding of how to treat patients with chronic disease. The material
was very well presented."
The course is open to any licensed
health care professional, including medical doctors, osteopaths, nurse
practitioners, naturopaths, chiropractors, and others. It is designed to
expand the scope and effectiveness of their health care practice, and
includes training in pulse diagnosis, diet, Veda Herbs, exercise, daily
health routines, stress reduction techniques and home purification
therapy.
"I really enjoyed learning how
to use the new Veda Herbs," says Steven Rector, M.D. "I say new,
but obviously the formulations are from a very ancient tradition. I would
urge any health care professional who is interested in complementary and
alternative medicine to go for this course."
"Every health care professional
should take this course, no question about it," adds Dr. Belok.
"It has real practical value for common illnesses that physicians
take care of every day."
