1999 "Today is the day for everyone to enjoy victory. This Victory Day celebration in India is the reminiscence of the ability of the individual, and ability of the groups of individuals— the ability of nations, of countries—the ability of the individual along with the ability of the whole world consciousness. "It comes from: ‘The individual is cosmic.’ It comes from the reality of the individual, that every individual is cosmic in his potential. Every grain of creation, and the intelligence within every grain of creation, has the potential of cosmic intelligence. "The Total Knowledge of Natural Law, the Veda, has been summarizing the potential of the individual in terms of Totality. The expression is Aham Brahmasmi ‘I am Totality.’ Every individual in the universe is Brahm, is the Totality. "This is not a philosophical gesture about life, even though it has been so far. But now in this scientific age, it is a physical reality as much as it is a mental reality. It is the reality in the field of consciousness; it is the reality in the field of materialized value of consciousness, which is the physiology of the individual and of the whole universe. "Jivo Brahmaiva naparah is the expression. Jiva, the individual, is Totality and nothing other. Jiva is Brahm. Aham Brahmasmi—‘I am Totality.’ "This is not anything that one has to achieve; this is the reality that one is. And in this perspective what we have is: perpetual victory. Life is a continuum of eternal victory. So today is the day of victory continuum. Eternal victory. That is the reality of life. "And fortunately there has been a country all along this long corridor of time, India—the land of the Veda— where there is a model of ideal life, a model of totally evolved life. India, Veda Bhumi—this is the land of Veda, which means Total Knowledge. Total Knowledge is a field of eternal peace with eternal dynamism. This is the victory of peace over dynamism. This is the victory of dynamism over peace. celebrating today, as the structure of our own status. "Victory continuum. Veda is the eternal law of nature that creates. How does it create? It creates because Veda is, in its own right, eternal silence and at the same time eternal dynamism. Between silence and dynamism is the eternal source of creation. The picture is so very beautiful. The source of eternal birth of creation is the source of eternal administration of what has been created. That means evolution, evolution, evolution. "So what we are celebrating today is just what we are—the status of eternal peace in eternal dynamism, eternal dynamism in eternal peace. This is eternity. And this is victory continuum. Throughout the long corridor of time, this victory was celebrated in India in the Vedic civilization year after year, year after year." |
