Veda design, the rising sun provides energy to sustain strength and
vitality the whole day. Since each Time Zone has only one boundary—an
auspicious east entrance defined by the rising sun—it will admit only
positive influences and make maximum use of Natural Law.
In Maharishi’s words: "Time-Zone Administration offers the same
light of life, the same power and vitality of Natural Law, equally to
every nation, as the life-giving sun moves around the globe. Time-Zone
Administration of Natural Law brings the new light of fortune to every
nation day by day."
Maharishi first spoke of Time-Zone Administration at the Guru Purnima
celebration in July of 1997. Since then the plan has gained momentum, and
this past February the first Administrators took their posts in each Time
Zone.
Administrators are in charge of Maharishi’s programs for the
development of consciousness within their areas. At least one Capital will
be built in each Time Zone to house administrative offices and a Maharishi
University of World Peace. At each university 1,000 Vedic pandits will
study and create waves of coherence daily through Yogic Flying and
Maharishi Yagya performances. Five more universities in India with 7,000
Vedic pandits each will round out this global peacekeeping force.
Another mission of the Administrators is to oversee the construction of
Maharishi Vedic Centers throughout their Time Zone. Their newest project
is to organize the construction of a Maharishi Tower of World Peace in
every Time Zone.
Four Time Zones cover most of North America. Drs. Kurt and Christy
Kleinschnitz are in Time Zone 9, which includes the eastern part of North
America and the Caribbean. Kurt notes that the coherent influence created
by the Vedic pandits will make Maharishi’s programs easy to popularize,
and teaching them will be very fulfilling. "People who are teaching
will be nourished. Everything they need will be available from the
administrative center."
Dan and Allison Wasielewski in Time Zone 10 are responsible for central
North America and the Rocky Mountains, Mexico, and much of Central
America. They have broken ground on their Time Zone Capital located in
Saint Genevieve, Missouri, one and a half hours south of St. Louis. Land
has also been purchased for a Maharishi Vedic Center in Chicago.
About their role as Time Zone Administrators, Dan says, "Maharishi
is very clear that the dissemination of his knowledge is up to us as
individuals. He has brought the knowledge out. It’s up to us to ensure
that people take advantage of it. Allison and I are very thrilled to have
the opportunity to help Maharishi enlighten the world."
John and Bobbi Briganti are Administrators for Time Zone 11, which
includes California, Oregon, Washington, and western Canada. They have
currently settled in Palo Alto and are looking at property in Sausalito
for their Time Zone Capital. The Brigantis have also kept busy with
fundraising events and promoting advanced programs: Maharishi Vedic
Vibration Technology, Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health consultations,
Advanced Techniques of the TM program, the TM-Sidhi program, and the
Maharishi Jyotish and Maharishi Yagya programs.
Michael Haig, in Hawaii, is the Administrator of Time Zone 12, which
greets the last rising sun of the day. With fewer than two million people,
it has the smallest population. "Alaska, Hawaii, Western Samoa and
French Polynesia, mostly groups of islands sprinkled in the vastness of
the Pacific" he says, make up what he likes to call the "The
Time Zone of the Unbounded Ocean."
After looking at a number of proper-ties for the Capital, he and
associates have found 216 acres on the island of Oahu with an ideal V
