"When you’re a kid, the best thing in the world is to go to the
playground and swing on the swings—you feel complete freedom. You’re
swinging in the air, and you feel that all boundaries are completely
broken and you are defying gravity and it’s wonderful," says Angela
Reifslager. "With Yogic Flying, you feel the same thing—but you
have no prop. It’s just you, and there you are, soaring in the
air."
It’s quite natural and effortless," adds David Goodman.
"With Yogic Flying, you feel like a kid again. You have bubbling
bliss, you’re simpler and more innocent, and at the same time you’re
more appreciative and generous."
In the past three issues we’ve seen that all kinds of people practice
Yogic Flying daily—for their own benefit and to help create world peace.
Yogic Flyers often report an upsurge of inner bliss at the moment of
liftoff—the same moment their brain functioning rises to a peak of
coherence.
Many cultures provide historic accounts of saints and yogis who
displayed this ability to float in the air. Traditionally, there are three
stages of flying: hopping, hovering, and moving through the air at will.
Scientific research shows that group practice the TM-Sidhi program and
Yogic Flying—even in the hopping stage—is able to significantly
decrease conflicts and increase positive trends in society.
Now let’s hear what it’s like to be a Yogic Flyer. "During my
practice of Yogic Flying I have experienced feelings of lightness, as if
my whole body becomes gossamer," says Eden Dana-her. "This
weightless effervescence fills me with joy. Afterwards, I feel energized
and peaceful at the same time."
Jennie Rothenberg says, "When you’re flying, you feel that you’re
really being supported by the universe itself. There are no blocks, no
obstacles— you’re not earthbound at all. It’s rare to find something
that’s so much fun that makes life so much better and easier."
"When you do your Yogic Flying program, everything else just drops
away," notes Audrey Ryan. "That immersion in the Unified Field
becomes the most important thing because the silence produces very, very
deep bliss and contentment. And during the day it continues on."
Bob LoPinto explains, "During Yogic Flying, I have very rich
experiences of being completely centered in my Self. I feel whole,
content, self-sufficient. This experience continues into the day, giving
me greater collectedness, concentration, self-confidence, and
dynamism."
Marty and Rosita Zucker learned the TM-Sidhi program in 1980 "I’m
a writer," Marty says, "and I notice after flying that my mind
is much more creative. There is an obvious bliss residue that lasts after
I finish Yogic Flying each day. I love it—it’s the dearest part of our
life."
"With Yogic Flying, my thoughts have more clarity," adds
Rosita, an artist. "I experience more creativity, more bliss, more
friendliness and love towards people. I also experience more friendliness
from people towards me—you know, you attract more people. I’m
definitely more intuitive with other people and more perceptive about the
future."
"The experience of Yogic Flying is not necessarily a new
one," comments Maryann Mitchell, "it’s not something
unfamiliar. In fact it’s quite the opposite—it’s a familiar
experience. It’s almost like: ‘Aha! This is the way life should be.’
This is comfort at its most comfortable."
Yogic Flying offers a joyful and profound experience, with benefits
that last throughout the day. At the same time, the intense coherence and
bliss generated by Yogic Flying at the level of the Unified Field spreads
throughout the universe— an impulse anywhere in this field is an impulse
everywhere.
In Maharishi’s words, "Every hop is a cosmic smile for world
consciousness."
