Counteracting Global Tension:
A Timely Start of Maharishi Global Yagyas

Maharishi Global Yagyas began in January of 1999 as a precaution to counteract growing tension in the world. This was in response to the unfavorable position of the planets in the sky, which indicated the advent of tension and violence.

Maharishi Global Yagyas are part of the ancient Vedic technology to create peace and harmony in the world. A large group of Maharishi Vedic Pandits is currently engaged in creating a peaceful influence for the world through these ancient Vedic performances. However, to create the required effect a much larger group is needed. Now is the time to support Maharishi’s efforts to save the world from a catastrophe—for your own personal benefit as well as for your country.

Chronology of Events

January 12, 1999: Mangala (Mars) entered Tula Rashi (the astrological sign Libra). Mangala is the significator for war and destruction. In this Rashi he forms a relationship with Shani (Saturn) and with Rahu and Ketu (the two lunar nodes) who also have a strong destructive power. These Grahas (planets) positioned so closely together support each other in their destructive powers.

January 18, 1999: Maharishi begins the Maharishi Global Yagyas to bring relief to the growing tension in the world.

March 24, 1999: NATO begins the bombing of Yugoslavia. Since then the war has escalated gradually and shown the potential to develop into the greatest conflict since World War II.

May 26, 1999: Guru (Jupiter) enters Mesha Rashi (the sign Aries), in which Shani is already transiting. Guru is the leader of the constructive forces and Shani is the leader of the destructive powers. Their meeting results in a combat which influences our situation on earth, creating tension and the possibility of bloodshed. In the ensuing combat Guru is alone, whereas Shani has the support of Rahu, Ketu, and retrograde Mangala. Since the influence of peace and harmony created by Guru is insufficient to neutralize the destructive powers of the other four Grahas, Maharishi Global Yagyas are required to strengthen Guru’s peaceful and harmonizing influences.

August 11, 1999: A total solar eclipse will take place over central Europe, creating an unfavorable influence, increasing tensions, and supporting the destructive trends. This influence will continue for a period of one year.

May 28, 2000: Guru and Shani will be in exact conjunction, resulting in Graha Yuddha (planetary war). Guru will be victorious.

Every meeting of Guru and Shani brings about a new beginning. When this meeting takes place in Mesha Rashi, the first sign of the zodiac, the ensuing transition to a new era is even more significant for human life.

Yet every transition brings change and possible turbulence. The current situation is dangerous—using violence to create peace is a false concept. Violence always begets violence.

We have made a timely start of Maharishi Global Yagyas, but we need to increase the size of the yagyas to the required level. Now is the time to contribute to the performance of Maharishi Global Yagyas to protect your life, your family and your wealth from destruction. When the house is on fire, it will be too late. The time for action is now.
