Northern Ireland: Heaven on Earth Assembly Participants Provide Calm
Atmosphere for National Elections
More than 130 course participants from 14 countries attended the 10-day
International Heaven on Earth Assembly in Belfast during the recent
elections there. One major newspaper, in their editorial "Quiet Vote
for Northern Ireland", declared the election to be
"astonishingly quiet, given the history-shaping significance of the
event," and noted that "historians may well decide that the
quietness itself was significant." The Sunday Times concluded a
half-page article: "While political commentators and the main
political parties struggle to explain why one of the most important
elections in Northern Ireland’s history produced the most low-key
campaign in living memory, one of the participants insists he has the
answer . . . more than 100 men and women meditating and flying through the
air to improve the atmosphere and promote harmony. He believes his Yogic
Flyers created ‘a calm and settled atmosphere’ to help voters make the
best decision about their future." Assembly leaders urged business
leaders and the public to establish a permanent "creating
coherence" group to maintain the momentum of peace in Northern
Ireland.

Japan: Medical Doctor Notes Remarkable Results from Instant Relief
Program
Makoto Hasumura, M.D. is the medical director of the first Maharishi
Ayur-Veda hospital in Japan. Located at the new facility in Nasu, patients
at Dr. Hasumura’s center have been receiving great benefits from the
Instant Relief program. One 47 year old man, who had been paralyzed on the
left side of his body due to a stroke, was able to stand up and walk
without support after his first treatment. After four treatments, he was
able to move his left arm. Dr. Hasumura comments, "Modern medicine is
only able to reduce the pain for some time on the surface level, but the
Instant Relief program removes the pain immediately from the deeper level
of the physiology, without the side-effects caused by modern medicine. So
basically, there is no reoccurrence of the problem."
