A Palace Where
Pure Consciousness Rules

Traveling 120 miles north from Tokyo, you will come to the town of Nasu, for 72 years the site of the summer palace of the Emperor of Japan. But today, a new palace has been established in Nasu—one where pure consciousness rules—creating coherence for Japan and securing a bright future for the "Land of the Rising Sun." On April 6, 1998, this structure was inaugurated as the Spiritual Center of Japan.
National Leaders in Japan, Dr. Yasuro Nireo, and his wife Sachiko gretting guests at the inauguration.

Designed in the style of Japanese palaces built 1200 years ago, it is the largest wooden structure in Japan. The dimensions of the entire compound are more than 300 feet on each side, and it is the first structure in Japan to be built in accordance with Natural Law—utilizing the knowledge of Maharishi Sthapatya Veda design.

"When we first entered our new building, we could feel something very peaceful, nourishing and blissful," says Dr. Yasuro Nirei, National Leader for the TM program in Japan. "This experience gave us a very concrete vision of how we can reconstruct the whole country and the world in alliance with Natural Law. Here in the central part of Japan we have established a stable basis for restoration of the original culture of Japan, which we know to be based on the Veda itself."

Dignitaries attending the inauguration included Dr. Neil Paterson, Governor General of the Age of Enlightenment for North America; Members of the Japanese Diet (Parliament); the Mayor of Nasu; a top Shinto scholar; and visiting Buddhist monks. Many well-wishers from the Japanese movement also came from throughout Japan. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, there was a thrilling presentation by an ensemble of traditional Japanese drummers, whose performance was meant to purify the atmosphere.

"We all have the strong feeling that now is the time for Japan to regain it’s full cultural integrity after so many thousands of years," says Dr. Nirei, "and as the Land of the Rising Sun, radiate peace and prosperity for the whole world family."
